Overview

The MikroTik hEX S is a value-priced router from MikroTik, available at Centrix Kuwait with full manufacturer warranty. The MikroTik hEX S is a five-port Gigabit router built on a dual-core MT7621A at 880 MHz with 256 MB of RAM, adding an SFP cage, a USB port and PoE output on port 5 to the standard hEX. The SFP cage takes a fibre handoff directly. The USB port accepts storage or an LTE modem for backup connectivity. PoE-out on port 5 powers a single access point or an outdoor radio without an injector — the combination that made this model the default small-site MikroTik router for years. It runs full RouterOS v7, so it does firewalling, VLANs, BGP, WireGuard, IPSec and queue management including CAKE and FQ-CoDel. The dual-core MT7621A is capable but modest, so if you intend to shape a fast line with CAKE, expect the CPU rather than the ports to be the limit. **Currently out of stock.** The refreshed hEX S (2025) is available at 35.000 KWD and supersedes this model with a newer processor. Ask us and we will tell you whether the newer unit suits what you are building. Priced at 22 KWD, supplied from local Kuwait stock with same-week delivery and bilingual technical support.

Who It's For

Ideal for: ISPs and internet service providers; enterprise network administrators; small and medium businesses; RouterOS power users who need advanced routing features. Available in Kuwait from Centrix as genuine MikroTik stock from authorised channels.
