About Access Control in Kuwait
Control who opens your door, and when. Our access-control range covers three types of reader. A keypad with a card reader is the simplest and lowest-cost option: people use a PIN code or an access card. A fingerprint reader removes the problem of lost cards and shared codes. A face-recognition reader is hands-free, with nothing to carry. We offer two systems. The Secukey Wi-Fi readers are standalone: each door works on its own and is managed in the Tuya app on iOS and Android, where you can add or remove users, give each user set times, send a visitor a one-time code, check the opening record and open the door from your phone. Ubiquiti UniFi Access is a networked system for offices with several doors: G3 readers connect to a door hub, and every door, user and log is managed together from a UniFi console, with no licence fee. A reader on its own does not make a working door. You also need an electric lock (a magnetic lock or an electric strike), lock power (a 12 V supply, or the UniFi door hub), an exit button on the inside, and installation. On an escape route, the lock must release when power is lost or the fire alarm goes off. We supply and install the complete door set in Kuwait. Delivery is free on orders of 150 KWD or more, otherwise 2 KWD. These items are order on demand, so ask us for the lead time.

What do I need for a complete door access system?
Five things: a reader or keypad, an electric lock (a magnetic lock or an electric strike, to suit the door), a 12 V door power supply, an exit button on the inside, and the cabling and installation. On an escape route the lock must also release when power is lost or the fire alarm goes off. Tell us about the door and we will quote the complete set.
Keypad, fingerprint or face — which should I choose?
A keypad with a card reader is the lowest cost and suits most offices and villas. Choose fingerprint if cards get lost or codes get shared. Choose face recognition if you want hands-free entry with nothing to carry. Every model here also accepts a PIN code and an access card, so you are never locked into one method.
Can I open the door from my phone?
Yes. The Secukey Wi-Fi models work with the Tuya app on iOS and Android. From the app you can open the door, add or delete users, give each user set times, send a visitor a one-time or time-limited code and see the opening record. The reader needs a Wi-Fi signal at the door; your phone can be on mobile data.
Is a magnetic lock safe on a fire exit?
Only if it is fail-safe and wired correctly. A fail-safe magnetic lock releases when its power is cut, so on an escape route it must be wired to the fire alarm panel so the alarm cuts its power, and people inside must be able to release the door with the exit button. Your building's fire-safety approval may ask for more, such as an emergency break-glass release.
