What is the Yeastar P-Series?
The P-Series is Yeastar's business phone system. It runs your extensions, call routing, IVR menus and voicemail, and connects to SIP trunks, analogue lines and mobile SIM cards. It comes in two forms.
Appliance Edition: P550, P560, P570
A hardware PBX that sits in your office or server rack. You own the box, calls stay on your network, and you can fit modules for analogue lines, analogue phones and SIM cards. Choose this if you have a comms room and want local control.
P-Series Cloud Edition
The same phone system hosted by Yeastar and sold as a subscription with feature plans. There is no PBX hardware to install. Staff use desk phones or the Linkus apps from any site. Choose this for multi-site teams or offices without a server room. Yeastar offers a 30-day free trial.
How to choose a Yeastar PBX by users and calls
Size the PBX on two numbers. Users is the number of extensions, usually one per person plus shared phones such as reception and meeting rooms. Concurrent calls is the number of calls in progress at the same moment at your busiest time. Pick the model that covers both with room to grow. On the P560 and P570, a D30 DSP module (85 KD) adds 100 users and 30 concurrent calls (one on the P560, up to two on the P570).

Yeastar gateways for analogue lines and SIM cards
Gateways connect older lines and devices to an IP phone system. FXO ports take incoming analogue lines from the exchange. FXS ports power analogue phones and fax machines. SIM gateways let the PBX place and receive calls over Zain, Ooredoo or stc mobile lines.
TA410 FXO gateway

TG400 GSM gateway

Using SIM gateways in Kuwait
Kuwait switched off 3G on 1 June 2025 under CITRA decision 2024/278. A GSM/3G gateway such as the TG400 now connects over the 2G network. Kuwait 4G runs mainly on band 3 (1800 MHz). Yeastar builds its 4G gateways with regional LTE modules, and Module-A covers North American bands, so tell us your operator and we will confirm the right LTE variant before you order.
Phones that work with Yeastar
Yeastar's P-Series auto-provisioning list includes the Yealink phones we stock, such as the SIP-T31G, SIP-T33G, SIP-T46U, SIP-T54W and the W70B DECT base. Which Yeastar PBX is right for 20 users?
The Yeastar P550 (207 KD) is the usual choice. Yeastar rates it for 50 users and 25 concurrent calls, so 20 users leaves room to grow. Count how many calls are in progress at your busiest moment as well as how many people you have. If you expect to pass 50 users, start with the P560 (360 KD), which takes 100 users and 30 calls and grows to 200 users and 60 calls with one D30 module (85 KD).
Can Yeastar use mobile SIM lines in Kuwait?
Yes. A Yeastar TG gateway, such as the TG400 (330 KD) with 4 SIM slots, connects Zain, Ooredoo or stc SIM cards to the PBX so staff can call out and answer on mobile numbers. P-Series appliances can also take GSM/3G/4G modules inside the box. Two Kuwait points matter. Kuwait switched off 3G in June 2025 (CITRA decision 2024/278), so a GSM/3G gateway now runs on the 2G network. Kuwait 4G runs mainly on band 3 (1800 MHz), and Yeastar's 4G "Module-A" covers North American bands, so confirm the LTE variant with us before you order a 4G gateway.
Does Yeastar work with Yealink phones?
Yes. Yeastar lists Yealink phones on its P-Series auto-provisioning list, including the SIP-T31G (15 KD), SIP-T33G (19 KD), SIP-T43U (28 KD), SIP-T46U (45 KD), SIP-T54W (42 KD) and the W70B DECT base (22 KD). Auto-provisioning means the PBX pushes the extension settings to the phone, so you do not configure each handset by hand.
Do I pay per user for a Yeastar PBX?
There is no per-user licence on the P-Series appliances. Each appliance comes with Yeastar's free Basic Plan for core telephony. Extra features need a paid plan: the Standard Plan adds the Linkus UC apps and operator panel, the Enterprise Plan adds call centre features and WhatsApp/SMS messaging, and the Ultimate Plan adds video conferencing and disaster recovery. Yeastar sells these as annual or monthly subscriptions. Tell us the features you need and we will include the right plan in your quote.
Can I keep my analogue lines and fax machines?
Yes. Use an FXO port to bring analogue lines into the PBX, either the TA410 gateway (65 KD) with 4 ports or the S-O2 module (29 KD) with 2 ports inside a P-Series appliance. Use an FXS port for analogue phones and fax machines, for example the TA400 gateway (54 KD) with 4 ports or the TA800 (83 KD) with 8.
