Overview
The MikroTik Chateau 5G ax is a mid-range router from MikroTik, available at Centrix Kuwait with full manufacturer warranty. The MikroTik Chateau 5G ax is a 5G router with Wi-Fi 6, built on the IPQ-6010 quad-core processor with 1 GB of RAM. It takes a SIM and delivers internet over 5G, with LTE Category 20 as fallback where 5G is unavailable. It is worth being clear about which Chateau this is. The plain Chateau 5G is Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) on a slower processor; this **ax** model is Wi-Fi 6 (AX1800) and adds a 2.5 Gigabit port. They look similar and are often confused — check the model code if comparing prices elsewhere. The 2.5G port matters here: a good 5G connection can exceed a gigabit, so a gigabit-only router would cap the line you are paying for. 4x4 MIMO with six internal antennas and two external SMA connectors is what separates this from a phone-style hotspot. Where signal is marginal, external antennas can be fitted and aimed, which often makes the difference between usable and unusable at the edge of coverage. It runs full RouterOS v7, not a locked-down consumer firmware — firewall, VLANs, VPN including WireGuard, and queue management with CAKE and FQ-CoDel. Supplied in Kuwait by Centrix: genuine stock from authorised channels. Tell us your provider and we can supply it with the APN configured. Priced at 175 KWD, supplied from local Kuwait stock with same-week delivery and bilingual technical support.
