MikroTik NetMetal 5

Overview

The MikroTik NetMetal 5 is a mid-range wireless bridge from MikroTik, available at Centrix Kuwait with full manufacturer warranty. The MikroTik NetMetal 5 is a high-power outdoor 5 GHz wireless station built on a QCA9558 at 720 MHz with 128 MB of RAM, running 802.11a/n/ac at up to 31 dBm, in an IP54 enclosure. The six N-female connectors are the defining feature. This unit has no built-in antenna — you attach external antennas suited to the link, whether a high-gain dish for a long point-to-point hop or a sector antenna for point-to-multipoint coverage. That flexibility is why it is used for backhaul where an integrated radio would not reach. 31 dBm of output is high power, which on a long link is often the difference between a usable connection and an unstable one. Check local regulations on permitted EIRP for your band and antenna combination before deploying. PoE-in over the single Gigabit port means one cable to the mast for power and data. It runs full RouterOS v7, so the same firewall, routing, VLAN and queueing tools as any MikroTik router — this is a router with a radio, not a simple bridge. Antennas and pigtails are ordered separately. Tell us the link distance and we will specify the antennas with it. Priced at 145 KWD, supplied from local Kuwait stock with same-week delivery and bilingual technical support.
