Overview
The Ubiquiti UniFi Access Door Hub Mini (UA-Hub-Door-Mini) is a value-priced access control from Ubiquiti, available at Centrix Kuwait with full manufacturer warranty. The Door Hub Mini is the controller for one door in a UniFi Access system. It sits on the secure side of the door, usually above the frame or in a small cabinet, and clips onto the DIN rail that comes in the box. It is for indoor use. The hub takes one PoE++ network cable from your switch. It passes power and data on to up to two UniFi readers through its two PoE+ outputs, for example a reader outside and an exit reader inside. When a reader accepts a card, phone or Wallet pass, the hub checks it against the people and schedules you set in UniFi Access and releases the lock. It has an input for an exit button and an input for a door position sensor, so UniFi Access can show whether the door is open or closed and flag a door that is opened without a valid unlock. The lock relay can be set to wet or dry with a switch. In wet mode the hub powers a 12 V lock drawing up to 1 A, such as UniFi's own magnetic and strike locks. In dry mode it switches a lock that has its own power supply, up to 30 V DC 1 A. What else you need: a UniFi console running UniFi Access (for example the Dream Machine Pro or Cloud Key Gen2 Plus), a PoE++ switch port or injector, one or two UniFi Access readers (such as the G3 Reader), an electric lock, an exit button, a door position sensor if you want open/closed alerts, cabling and installation. If you need the hub, reader and key fobs together, the G3 Starter Kit includes this hub. Ubiquiti does not charge a licence fee for UniFi Access. Centrix supplies and installs the complete door. Fire safety: on an escape route the lock must release when power is lost or the fire alarm goes off. The Door Hub Mini has no fire-alarm input, so use a fail-safe lock and have the fire alarm cut the lock's power.
