Each of its two FXS ports registers as its own SIP account, so the two are genuinely independent — one can be a desk phone on an extension while the other is a fax machine, a lift phone or a door intercom on a separate number. Check the direction before ordering, because this is where most orders of this kind go wrong. **An FXS port supplies dial tone to an analog phone.** If what you need is to bring incoming analog lines from the operator into a VoIP system, that is an FXO device and a different product.
