The distinction between users and concurrent calls matters when sizing. 300 users is the number of extensions; 60 concurrent calls is how many can be in progress simultaneously. Normal offices run around 10-20% concurrency, so 60 channels serves 300 staff comfortably — but a call centre where most agents are on calls at once needs the concurrency figure checked against agent count, not headcount. Hot standby lets a second unit mirror the primary and take over automatically on failure. It is a paid-plan feature, so include the plan in the budget. For an organisation where phones going down stops business, that redundancy is the deciding feature. Call-centre features such as queues, agent states, wallboards and reporting come with Yeastar's paid plans.
