The Yeastar TG400 is a four-port GSM gateway that bridges mobile networks and VoIP, taking four SIM cards and presenting them to your phone system as SIP trunks. The reason to run one in Kuwait is cost. Mobile-to-mobile calls on the same network are far cheaper than routing them through a landline trunk, so a business calling mobiles heavily can route those calls out over SIMs on the matching network and keep the fixed line for everything else. Call routing rules decide which calls take which path automatically. Load balancing spreads traffic across the four SIMs, which both increases capacity and prevents any single SIM drawing the attention that heavy uniform usage attracts. The SMS API is the feature most often overlooked. It lets applications send and receive text messages through the gateway — order confirmations, delivery notifications, two-factor codes — from your own systems rather than a third-party service. It connects to any SIP-capable PBX: Yeastar's own S-Series and P-Series, Grandstream UCM, 3CX, FreePBX and Asterisk.
